Ostara is a pagan/wiccan holiday, and one of the eight Sabbats. Ostara celebrates the spring equinox. The word Ostara comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess name, Eostre. Eostre represented spring and new beginnings.
A holiday of new beginnings, it calls us to begin again and to pursue new goals. It is also when the land comes alive in springtime, flowers bloom everywhere, and birds start tweeting and singing their joys of life.
